Before we started our crazy summer this year, we had the privilege of attending the marriage of our niece Rachel. She is Michael's sister's oldest child and we love her! She was married in the Denver Temple and had her reception at Civic Green Park in Highlands Ranch. She married a great guy named Chad, whom we like a great deal and we look forward to watching them start married life together.

I thought this cake was pretty, and it tasted yummy. It was Red Velvet.
I think Chad surprised her by smashing her with cake. Her reaction was hysterical.
Rachel really wanted to dance with her daddy. It was absolutely precious.

At the end of the reception we all had the chance to dance together like crazy people, which was so therapeutic for my very stressed out soul. I left feeling better and more relaxed than I had felt in at least a month. It was so very good to spend time with our family before we started our summer adventure. We love them so much, and we will miss them when we are on the other side of the country.
